This project was a special memory garden, for pupils to remember loved ones who have passed away. The school originally went for funding by The Sentinal to win the £5000 prize, but sadly didn’t win. That’s when Realise charity stepped in to help with £5,000 worth of funding.
Headteacher Sandra Mitchell stated: “I am so proud of the children’s energy and enthusiasm, the garden will be such a special place for the children to go”.
The project featured a garden, seating, noticeboards, and sculptures. The design itself was inspired by the children’s school trip to the National Memorial Arboretum. To celebrate the opening of the garden, the children from Seabridge Primary attached messaged to balloons and set them free in memory of lost loved ones.
