In this introductory session, you will find out what to expect in each digital session and take part in a poll for suggestions on what you would like to get from these sessions.

Session 2 – How to connect to the internet and being aware of scams
In this session, we will look at how to connect to the Internet. We will look at the different platforms in which to connect to the Internet and find out what’s right for you. There will also be a specific focus on Internet safety. We will Look at the signs of a secure website and how to spot the signs of online scams.
By the end of the session, we hope you feel more confident in knowing how to recognise an online scam as well as knowing how to connect safely to the Internet.

Session 3 – Social media. What is it?
You may think social media doesn’t apply to you but in this session we will look at all different aspects of the main leading social media platforms how they differ and what are the pros and cons of each.
We are in a world where over 1 billion people have a Facebook account this could include family and friends but in this day and age we are seeing more services having social media accounts such as GP surgeries, banks and main service providers.
By the end of the session, you may decide that one of these would be a good fit for you and you will have the confidence and know how to begin to set up your own social media profile.

Session 4 – Joining the Aspire Housing portal. (For Aspire Housing customers only)
In this session, we will look at the easy-to-use Aspire Housing portal. We will cover the basics of how it works and how to login/register. We will look at everything from the chat feature, paying rent, as well as how to interact with the other online services.
By the end of this session, you will have a greater understanding of all the benefits of logging on and registering with the Aspire Housing portal and you will have the confidence to be able to interact with this and therefore the team.

Session 5 – Financial awareness and saving you money
In this session, we will begin to look at online banking and e-commerce. The main focus will be around financial awareness so we will be looking at money-saving sites, comparison sites and how to shop around to get the best deal for yourself.
The aim after this session is that you will feel more confident in shopping around for the best deal for switching providers (for example).
As well as a clear path to be able to see how you could save money by implementing some of the things delivered in the session.
