Supporting families

With our funding, we provide all parents and carers with a support network of play and friendship through the Alice Charity.

Becoming a new parent can be terrifying and isolating. Without a support network, new families can become overwhelmed both financially and emotionally.

Through the Alice Charity, we fund community playgroups that help new families overcome isolation, offering the chance to have a cup of tea, seek advice and talk to others in a relaxing environment.

The sessions take place every day across Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent, providing a much-needed family support network for local families and new parents.

“These sessions are so invaluable for our mums, they bring everyone together into a fun and comfortable environment where they can make friends and so can the children!”
