Realise charity help fund some amazing trips for young people in education. These trips allow learners to experience independent travel, historical landmarks and city life.
Parent and toddler groups
Realise charity fund parent and toddler groups within the Newcastle-under-Lyme area with the Alice Charity. The Big Cup sessions are designed to help new parents socialise, overcome isolation, gain support and enjoy themselves! The sessions take place on a weekly basis across Kidsgrove, Clayton, Chesterton, and Bradwell.
Digital advice drop-ins
Realise charity fund a service for Aspire Housing customers to access digital advice and guidance, through a dedicated Citizens Advice Bureau advisor. The service supports getting people online and providing practical help to digital queries.
Employer site tours
Employer site tours are vital for aspiring apprentices to be able to experience first-hand work life. Realise charity help fund a variety of site tours for young people training to be apprentices including visits to local firms Klarius, XPO Logistics and more.
Digital clinics for people over 55
Realise charity fund digital clinics within our communities for people over 55. The partnership with Wavemaker Stoke allows members of our communities to stay safe online, learn new forms of software and communicate with family members through technology.
An introduction to digital for young people
Realise charity in partnership with Wavemaker Stoke and PM Training, provide aspiring apprentices with the opportunity to learn about 3D printing, CAD, Smart speakers and much more through digital lessons.
Mental health guidance for young apprentices
Realise charity help support young people with vital sessions in mental health in conjunction with local mental health charities. These sessions allow young people to speak to someone confidentially and know that they have someone to turn to when in need.
Chair-based exercise classes
There are some amazing chair-based exercise classes for over 55s that are funded by Realise charity. Taking place in Aspire Housing’s Community Living schemes. The classes are widely praised by residents have a huge impact on their ability to carry out daily tasks.
Enterprise challenge support
The enterprise challenge, made possible by Realise, is a business challenge for young people aspiring to become apprentices. Young people are challenged within a team setting to come up with a business plan, product and start selling. Realise charity support by providing a start-up allowance to allow them to get the equipment they needed to get going in their business adventure.
Mock employer interviews
Being prepared for job interviews is an essential skill for school leavers. Realise charity support the mock interviews with local employers at PM Training. These interviews allow young people to develop, practice and learn what to expect in real job interviews.
